Trailer for immersive 360 video and live performance by Kerryn Wise. Exposure is an immersive performance experience for one audience member at a time, using a 360 film viewed in a virtual reality headset, combined with a live performance. The piece explores perspective, presence and spatial perception, and draws on the photographic work of Cindy Sherman and Francesca Woodman, as well as film inspirations including techniques used by Alfred Hitchcock and Andrei Tarkovsky. The 360 film contains a highly stylized, choreographed performance with powerful female characters inhabiting a range of domestic settings. The work explores the relationship between the audience member and both the digital and live female performer, questioning notions of intimacy as they are pulled between the live and virtual space simultaneously through a range of sensate interactions.
