What is so special about these 24 people? Why is it that they over all the other souls ever made get to sit around the Lord’s throne? Four and twenty elders —. They are not angels, for they have white robes and crowns of victory, implying a conflict and endurance. There are many theories of who these people are. One each from the 12 tribes & 12 Talmidim, 12 patriarchs & 12 talmidim, nobody knows for sure. But what they are is people who were once humans and now have won the race.
