Joanna Lepore's humble beginnings in an Ohio Bakery may have turned her off of the idea of baking, but after attending school in New York, it wasn't long before her love for food was reignited.
As manager of the confections department at Theo Chocolate in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood, Joanna and the other staff in her department work throughout the year to create confectional works of art from raw, locally-sourced ingredients. It doesn't end with the small squares of chocolate-covered ganache and caramel, either. Joanna is constantly working on new techniques for larger, more decorative and sculptural works for events and weddings.
The creativity and ingenuity of Theo's confection team is truly a sight to behold and continues to thrive as Theo propels forward in the chocolate community.
