Until 15th January 2012 the Nationalgalerie in Berlin presents “Cloud Cities”, an installation by the Argentinian artist Tomás Saraceno, in the Hamburger Bahnhof “Museum für Gegenwart” in Berlin as part of the Dornbracht Installation Projects series.

Spiderwebs, astrophysics and legendary visionaries are just some of Tomás Saraceno's sources of inspiration. He calls his works “biospheres”, organic dimensional meshworks that hover in the room, sometimes adorned with plants, sometimes simply suspended by black nets. Having originally studied architecture, the artist's starting point for his works is his interest in man’s current and future living environment and society.
