A short documentary on Raku ware, a Japanese pottery technique.
Recorded in August 2011 at Carlos San Claudio's workshop, the footage depicts the process of glazing, cooking and firing on previously made bisqueware pieces, and shows how the special kiln, the crackle-grazing and the oxidation-reduction methods add up for unique results.
Video recorded with a Nikon d7000 camera and a Nikkor 18-200mm VRII lens, processed with Kdenlive. Other formats and details at quidam.cc/22-10-2011/taller-de-raku
