A haunting short film, part of an anthology of cinematic odes to the NYC subway.
"Saturday Night Subway Ride"
Northbound, we make strides
entering an air lock, a hot spot
for a better life, friends & cohorts
abound. The man with the deep sea
bass mouth and confederate socks
want to know if we, me myself & i,
have a legal dispute and need cash
as fast as possible, he has an 800 #,
a wide vast wireless connection.
Inside his handheld, we can all be
medical or dental technicians,
helicopter pilots, network experts,
find a new job, be avant-garde.
All this between Rector & Houston,
four stops downtown on the war zone line.
Imagine what wonders lie uptown
by the time we acquire Times Square?
Hey, who took my Metrocard?
