The Nikolai church in Freiberg, Saxony, was the stage for the grand finale of a medieval saga written by Sabine Ebert. Seven hundred spectators attended the presentation of her novel 'The dream of the midwife', the last in a series of five books covering life in Saxony in the 12th century. Sabine Ebert’s publishing house Droemer Knaur asked me to cover the event.
The book entered the German bestseller list on position no. 1, the first edition of 220.000 copies was sold out instantaneously.
