This video was part of the Bulk Bin series. I worked with Lethbridge-based artist Mary-Anne McTrowe. The punch-line ending of the video was complete serendipity. It's an example of the kind of magic that can happen when you get let the process unfold.
The Bulk Bin project was part of The Big Rock Candy Mountain Residency at The Banff Centre for The Arts in 2003. Everyday I broadcast a new video on-line, mimicking the production pace of television (sort of). All the work is on video and shot and edited in a quick and dirty way. I often collaborated with the other artists in the residency.
trivia: Mary-Anne is not only an amazing Canadian artist but also has a not so secret ukulele talent.
thanks to Fischerspooner and their awesome song Emerge.
