This is a short VIDEO MONTAGE of the Northeast including Boston, Fall River, New Bedford, Providence RI. etc...
Most of the footage was shot handheld with the Sony a7III in a custom HLG3 profile and graded on Premiere Pro’s Lumetri using waveform, curves and basic levels.
In future videos I'll start comparing footage shot with different Cameras and Lenses which will then be graded with the same LUT's so to produce a comparison guide with cinematic looks created from these various combinations.
I will also produce footage without LUT’s using the various NON-LOG profiles such as Sony’s HLG3 and CINE2.
I'll be testing Cameras and Log and Non-Log profiles from the major brands such as Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Nikon, Blackmagic etc.
Ill also be testing Lenses from all of the major camera and lens brands including Sigma, Sony, Canon, Tamron, Nikon etc...
all these Camera and Lens combinations will be used in conjunction with different LOG profiles from the big companies to compare the major LUT's on the market and their looks with specific CAMERA/ LENS combinations.
It’ll be the same right? Let’s find out.
From capture to grade I will update the process and display the results and the processes.
I’ll compare and look at the different types of LUT's and utilities and talk about when and where to use them.
The ultimate goal is to draft a LUT LOOK BOOK from the findings with images and formulas's from the different looks associated with specific combinations.
PLEASE COMMENT AND LEAVE FEEDBACK. THIS PROCESS DEPENDS ON HELP FROM AVID NEW AND INTERMEDIATE VIDEO CREATORS.
I was tired of going out shooting footage only to find out the LUT I wanted to use was not quite in line with the footage I shot.
I'm going to get to the bottom of the various types of LUT's for various jobs and the different utility LUT's for LOG conversion and WHITE BALANCE.
