Scenes from the Cello Performance of the Yokohama based Musician and Performer Sakamoto Hiromichi, who already took part in the first festival Ohayô, Japan! in 2007. These scenes are from the performance in Leipzig at the Lindenfels Westflügel, a dance hall from 1900, that is since late 2005 a place for contemporary puppet theatre performances. All rights reserved to the artists and the festival, the filming has been done by Tilman Koenig and assistants. The clip is ought to illustrate the artistic works shown at the festival Ohayô, Japan since 2007 and the qualities of the invited performances and performers. The festival was founded, curated and is led by Tom Grigull, PhD. Japanese Mask Theatre, University of Munich (2011), based in Leipzig / Germany. The festival and its director have been awarded with the Uchimura Naoya Prize of the Internationale Theatre Institute, Paris as part of the UNESCO, Paris in 2011. It is the first German project as well as the first festival ever to be awarded with this prestigious prize.
