A video camera
A political stand
A good reason to speak
A good reason to listen
A good reason to take a stand
A Government Official moments before he delivers his speech. Getting ready to go on stage. His associates begin to invade his personal space. Each invasion constitutes another push for him to move forward. To go on stage and give a speech. A “painkiller” speech to the people. The stage turns into a TV studio and time starts counting backwards. The turmoil of preparation leads to a confession, an understanding of our dark nature, our corrupted, confused and enraged human nature. Man might be ready to accept, but still not ready to change.
Fyodor Dostoyevsky's “Underground Man”, loves no one.
Vaslav Nijinsky, on the other hand, strives to “feel” and love everyone.
A nihilist and a mentally ill man trying to find mutual compatibility.
Human desires do not stem neither from reason or socially accepted values.
The “Underground Man” as well as “The Diary of Vaslav Nijinsky”, have been the basis upon which we have built our hero. We dress him on the spot, prepare him and lead him to the slaughterhouse.
A monologue in dialogue with the audience.
Taking a political stand through every private thought, every searching of the soul, every discussion. A voice trying to find its place in society.
Plato's allegory of the Cave, demanded for the man who has seen the sun to return to the cave and shed light upon the shadows. However, the story has been reversed. Those imprisoned inside the cave, ask for their own representative. A blind man just like them.
“The only thing we want, is to make the world a better place.
Better never means better for everyone
It always means worse, for some.”
