Its hard to argue running isn't good for you physically and emotionally. An organization helping those living in homeless facilities and halfway homes to embrace this idea of using the physical challenge of running to help build endurance physical and emotional confidence.
The Chicago chapter of Back on My Feet is celebrating its first anniversary. There are currently four facilities where formerly homeless or incarcerated residents and community members meet at dawn 3-4 mornings each and every week to start their day together. Once a month, runners of the four Chicago area clubs come together on a Saturday morning for friendly competition.
