This Sunday, we continue in our series called Why Church? Two weeks ago, we discovered in the book of Acts that the church is God’s design to make disciples who are more like Christ and to help others to do the same. As the church grows in discipleship, the surrounding society gives us a new nickname, “Christians.” This week we turn our focus to the New Testament letters, specifically Ephesians 3:8-21. We will see in this passage that the church brings God’s glorious gospel to light and shows God’s saving purpose to the cosmos. It is the local church that makes God’s global purpose most visible in the world today. It is the place where we experience God’s power to do more than we can ask or imagine. We will hear the message through Elders Don Angel and Susan Rice this week.
