Training video for IV cannulation and local anaesthetic infiltration.

Note: this video shows the intra-dermal technique for local anaesthetic infiltration, which allows for almost pain-free cannulation. With this technique, insert only the bevel of a 26G needle and infiltrate a tiny amount of local anaesthetic (0.1-0.2ml lignocaine 1%) until the skin blanches slightly, this will then mark the spot for cannula insertion.
