Within the framework of Cultural Entrepreneurship Hubs program by Goethe-Institut, LAbattoir project is hosting a small library at the Old Municipal Slaughterhouse of Thessaloniki, aspiring to become a meeting point for everyone interested in reading and exploring selected titles on creativity, art, cultural entrepreneurship and the creative industries.
The Library is open to the public during the working hours of the project LABattoir (Mon - Fri 10:00-18:00 and on selected weekends).
The space is equipped with tables and chairs that can be used as your office-for-the-day and a reading corner where you can relax, brainstorm, read relevant titles and subjects, and hopefully find inspiration for your own projects.
Feel free to check the books available online, and drop by anytime to have a read, here in the space of LABattoir.
Stay tuned for a series of reading groups that will be organised around the library and its content.
LABattoir is an initiative of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, based on a concept by ArtBOX non-profit organisation, at the recently refurbished building of the old municipal slaughterhouse.
LABattoir is implemented through a founding grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), as part of the SNF’s €10 million grant that has been allocated to the Municipality.
The program Cultural Entrepreneurship Hubs in Thessaloniki is a strategic partnership between LABattoir and Goethe-Institut.
