Construction of the Freyer – Newman Center commenced in August 2018 and will be completed mid 2020. The Center marks the final step in a four-phase Master Development Plan and is located on the northeast corner of the Gardens.
The Center will house six classrooms; four galleries; new herbaria for vascular plants, mushrooms and slime molds; laboratories; a new library and a coffee shop. A children’s zone will be added to the Boettcher Memorial Center.
