Darren and I spent an afternoon playing with vehicles, cameras and on-vehicle camera mounts, collecting test footage toward a web series Darren is developing.
I just had to have some fun with the footage and see what I could create in editing, playing with the angles and trying to weave a story out of footage never intended to tell a story.
We used three cameras, in order to compare and contrast the footage, and see how they could be intermingled.
> Canon 60D
> Canon T3i, using the 'Cinestyle' profile
> Contour HD
The answer is they can be intermingled when the destination is web video!
The mounting to vehicles was a little more tricky - the RAM mount suction cup worked great for the Contour camera, but the Digital Juice LowRider was a great disappointment - it was way too flimsy and light and prone to wind-induced vibration.
