London College of Communication 2011 MA Graphic Moving Image output.
The video illustrates a cycle of Time, where nothing ever ends, nor begins. Present and Future collaborate in a synchronized dance, dissolving time.
Like a cubist painting, we can see the performer’s face in different angles at the same time, but unlike a painting, the piece is moving and constantly changing points of view.
Also, the video was sometimes being randomly projected on the back wall, behind the veil and the performer, which adds an extra dimension to where the real image is. The white veil is a metaphor for what we can see, and what is hidden from us. It’s a thin layer between perspectives that show everything and hide everything at the same time. Its movements release the images from their digital cage, allowing them to expand and contract, living free from their original bounds, existing in spacetime.
