HP “New York Minute”
This 60 second spot featuring Sarah Jessica Parker was the last chapter of the HP “Hands” campaign where stars use their hands to interact with animated interfaces and tell a story about themselves without ever showing their faces. As an evolution to the more graphical nature of previous spots, this one needed to have a more real & theatrical feel. SJP’s performance was shot on a black background and we then designed and animated the big variety of props which had to relate to features of Windows7. I headed over to Los Angeles to lead the CG team at The Mill. As well as handling clients and team I had a chance to be hands on developing animation rigs and doing the animation for the light-box conveyor belt and the puppeteer controlled hanging lights.
