For Sheldon Pacotti's arcade action game, we had three important audio goals:
1) Give the abstract voxel-based aesthetic a perceptual grounding in the real-world setting, that is, inside a sick girl's body.
2) Elucidate game events for the player, who has to be constantly aware of the shifting game map to play strategically and effectively.
3) Be intense and awesome.
