This is an exercise that I did with with ten other students in the second year at my french film school in 1999. The task was to do a remake of a scene of Abel Ferraras "King of New York" on 2x 30m 16mm film.
In the first place it was an exercise in production design and découpage. The set was constructed on a sound stage after one week of intensively analysing the scene. The second week was construction of the set, the third week was lighting and shooting (with job rotation on every shot). The film was exclusively edited (without any computer involved) on an old Atlas-Editing-Table.
