Truth to Power Cafe is a new international performance event intercut with monologue, poetry, image, music, memoir and live and spontaneous testimony from participants speaking truth to power. Over 120 participants have taken part in the event in four countries including UK, Netherlands, Australia, and Croatia. This year we make our Latitude debut as part of a national tour.
Participants of all ages, beliefs and backgrounds can take part in the event and will have up to five minutes to respond to the question 'who has power over you and what do you want to say to them?' before a live audience.

Speaking truth to power has its origins in the anti-war movement as a non-violent means of conflict resolution. In this era of post-truth, alternative fact and fake-news, speaking truth to power is widely accepted to mean saying something to those in authority or position of trust who don’t want to hear.
Is it to your parents, a sibling, a politician, lover, landlord, neighbour, sports trainer, carer, religious leader, boss, banker or simply your best friend?
It’s time to tell them the truth before it’s too late.
