Three clients of Health Law Advocates tell how they struggled to receive health insurance coverage and pay for school tuition. This video was shown at HLA's 2011 annual breakfast, before an audience of 800.
The clients are:
1. The family of an autistic boy who becomes violent and needs to attend a residential school.
2. A mother who gives birth and then learns, while in the hospital, she has no health insurance.
3. A woman who needs regular infusions to live, and then discovers her health insurance has cut her treatment.
Health Law Advocates, the largest public interest law firm of its kind, was able to help all three clients -- and many more.
