The CSIS Africa Program and the Embassy of Mali hosted a discussion on transnational security challenges in the Sahel with the foreign ministers of Algeria, Mali, Mauritania, and Niger. The session focused on progress in regional security cooperation to meet the threat of an emboldened AQIM and mitigate the potential security implications that the fall of the Qaddafi regime in Libya.
