This is a memorial video I made for Bradford Fernandez, our beloved son, brother and friend, who took his life on January 21, 2011.
His life and death touched the hearts of many. His cries for help to his friends that he called that night went unanswered.
Suicide is not the answer to life's situations. It is a permanent, destructive solution to a very temporary problem.
If someone you know wants to commit suicide, get them help. Stay with them while you call the police or a suicide helpline.
I lost my son, my surviving children lost their brother, and our community lost a precious young life. His friends will never be the same, we will never be the same.
If you are thinking about committing suicide; don't. You will leave a trail of destruction behind. There is hope. There is help. You are not alone. Your life matters, you are loved. Call 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) or 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255). You can also call 2-1-1- for help.
Do not let someone you love die because you didn't call for help. CALL FOR HELP.
