Selection of works from the Pixar Technical Undergraduate Program/Internship (Summer 2011)
1) One week each for modeling and shading; based on a real object bought from the thrift store. Modeled in Maya and shaded in Slim (all procedural, except for price sticker and logo- painted as texture maps in Photoshop). Rendered using RenderMan.
2) One week lighting exercise using reference photo.
3) Group project with Paul Gerla. We were responsible for coming up with a 2 shot narrative, building all the assets from scratch. I was responsible for some modeling (the room, the shelves, the lamp, ash tray and some books), set-dressing, layout and lighting (fog effect done by Paul Gerla). Shading and rest of the modeling also done by Paul. Rendered using RenderMan.
4) Final project (two week). I took a shot from Toy Story 3 and changed the time of day to night. All the lights were stripped out of the shot file, leaving only the character light-rigs in their default settings. Lit using Pixar proprietary software and rendered using RenderMan.
