IMPORTANT: First off we apologize for the clarity issues in parts of the keynote speech. The slides could not be converted to an HD film. For some reason the audio voiceover starts actually at the second slide, so all voiceovers by Elizabeth are actually describing the previous slide. Our technical dept. is trying to fix this mistake.
This slide show was created as part of a teacher-photographer challenge sponsored in part by the Smithsonian Institute and Photo Pro Magazine. The challenge in part was to get the best angles for shots, see how fast we could get the shots we needed {yes, we were timed at each monument or venue} and judged on how we interacted with the public in crowded situations to get close up shots where there were lots of people. Raw pictures were only allowed in the slide show and movie. Full pictures of the White House, U.S. Capital, and the Lincoln Memorial were not allowed, nor were night time photos. This slide show and the video that will be published shortly won 2nd place overall in the competition of 16 finalists. These photographs were shot Nov. 4-6, 2011
