DiSPLACEMENT (2009) is a short dance for camera collaboration shot on location in Devon and Cornwall. Filmed in 52 different locations from beaches to shopping centres, to car parks to cliff tops it traces a lone females journey through a series of different landscapes. Using stylised editing and film techniques the film is designed to expose a relationship to place through time, whether through choice, co-incidence or chance, a reaction to questioning where 'home' truly is. The film is directed by Brett Harvey and Emily Dobson and marks a new collaborative relationship between filmmaker and choreographer.
