As we have been reporting for some time on, the US is facing a major drug shortage crisis. Specifically in colorectal cancer, there are shortages of 5-FU, leucovorin and irinotecan.

Patients are scared and bewildered when told by their health care providers that the drugs that are helping them fight their disease are no longer available or are in frighteningly low supply.
