Documentation of my work as artist-in-residence at Harvard Medical School. Here I look at Caenorhabditis elegans, a microscopic worm cultivated in laboratories all over the world. I built microscopic constructions for the worms to explore, including meditation paths for spirituality seekers, branching mazes for making choices, and duets, where two worms inhabit the same space but cannot touch. I also introduced fake worms, or avatars, as manifestations of myself in their world and copied the male and female figures from the Pioneer spacecraft, shrunk them to worm size, and sent them to communicate with this foreign species.
