Our local gang returned to Sweden's Norrland to see some white water action. This year we had a bit more incidents with broken kayaks and broken GoPro housing.
It took 6 days and 2300km to make the tour, starting from Tampere. First stop was a ferry at Vaasa, then Umea and Vindelälven. Water levels were a bit low compared to 2008 tour (also found on Vimeo). Then we headed to Kultsjöån where we spend 2 days taking different channels. Next stop was creeking at Vuovosjåkke in a bit lowish levels. Then Trollforsen with 2 days of enjoyment. Final stop was Matkakoski which is not covered in this video. Then final 700km to home.
This is a low quality upload (5Mbps) to vimeo to fit 500MB limit. 12Mbps rendering quality is brilliant.
Unfortunately I could not get 5x ultra-slow-mo's at Troll's autoboof without artefacts. For algorithms the trees, sky and moving water with fast moving paddle is too much. So maybe I need a high speed camera :)
