In July 2018, my pastor began a sermon series entitled Roots: Uncovering Our Faith. The series explained the origins of the Judeo-Christian faith, beginning with the Garden of Eden story. I felt inspired to create an animated title introduction. The tree depicted is a fig tree because Adam and Eve used fig leaves to cover themselves. (Get it?) The style is that of a Byzantine mosaic because the "root" of Christian art began when Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity, after which Christian art flourished, especially mosaics.
