One of the most anticipated weddings for Visual Poet Studios was the marriage of Sammy and Andy. We knew the couple would be outrageously artsy and playful. The bride is the daughter of our dearest friends on the planet. Then a week before we arrived to their hometown of Joplin, MO one of the deadliest tornadoes in US history ripped the town to shreds. Our first six days before the wedding was spent helping the local church reach out to the homeless and shell-shocked. Instead of cameras, we wielded chainsaws and axes. Having the wedding was even in question. The couple was torn in their decision. But finally, with the encouragement of many others who felt some joy and beauty should come out of all the pain, they decided to go forward with the June 4th celebration. The day was superior and all the hearts of those who attended were lifted. I hope you will sense the love and happiness these two have for each other. They live on the road less traveled. They dated differently. They married differently. They will live differently.
Visual Poets wishes to thank the Garmans for the special treat of visually sharing their day...
