Little bit about each element.
If you are watching this clip than you surely don't need an introduction to Bahauddin Sahab...(one of) the scions of the Qawal Bachhe of Tooti-e-Hind Amir Khusro.
His rendition of Jigar Sahab's Hairat-e-Ishq Nahin, is a classic to say the least.
Should you be one of those who have happened on this page by accident and need a bit of background....Ustad Bahauddin Qawal is one of the finest Qawals' along with (his cousin) Munshi Raziuddin that the Indo Pak sub-continent has produced. The strengths and style of both Ustad Bahauddin and Munshi shb are different and they both complimented each other phenomenally. The biggest loss to Qawali has been the split of Manzoor Niazi and party in the 60s which created a void that remains unfilled to date.
As regards Jigar Shb. his genre is ghazals and he is considered to be the best...as this clip illustrates.
The pictures have been shot by Dervish on the 3rd day of 1281st Urs celebrations of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi in Karachi. (for more on the urs stop by searchingdervishsworld.blogspot.com/2011/11/urs-by-sea.html)
Hope you enjoy the video and the Qawali.
