Occurring in both the fall and spring semesters, the Center for Entrepreneurship Lecture Series features an entrepreneur or entrepreneurship educator as the guest speaker in a free lecture, open to the general public, in the late afternoon. The lecture is followed by an evening reception where the speaker can interact with the event attendees. In fall of 2011, the guest speaker was Jane Plitt, activist, entrepreneur, and author of "Martha Matilda Harper and the American Dream: How One
Woman Changed the Face of Modern Business." She gave a talk titled "Using Business for Social Change."
