Reviews:
“A touching Freud’ian Psychogame!” -Kurier News
“Christoph Rainer accidentally created a masterpiece. Hereby we never know if this is an intelligently constructed piece of work, where the boarders between reality and fiction are not only dissolved within the film, but beyond the cinematic frame!” -Flix Online
“This film is simultaneously a love letter and a Trojan horse:
an extremely strong and masterful essay film!” -Tom Kalin
Personal Statement:
Miguel, my dear friend invited us to shoot a film in his hometown Rio de Janeiro. The language barrier was a constant struggle and the casting turned out to be extremely tricky. Eventually the entire production fell apart, leaving me just tiny bits of rehearsal and making of footage. With this film I tried to find a way to document the process as well as "complete" the failed film using our real casting and making of footage.
Thank you so much for all the material by Thiago da Costa, Javier Loarte, Maite Perez, Johnny Ma, Stian Hafstad... and also thanks to everybody who helped out!!!
Eternal thanks to CARLOS VEIGA, who passed away the week before its world premiere.
He was such an honest and generous spirit and inspired all of us!
