This is a pick-and-place machine on our new production line, just outside Tampa Florida. It's double-sided, so it can do 2 boards at a time.
You can see it pick up tiny electrical components from feeder ribbons, use computer vision to align the components (the flashing light), then place them on boards. Earlier, the boards had solder paste applied by a different machine.
In the time this video runs, roughly 50 components are placed. At this speed, 1 board can be done in less than 7 minutes, or almost 10 per hour. Optimized, it should do 10K+ components an hour (25 boards).
