This was what came out of a cinematography project back when I was in school. I had to create a proposal for a distinct look then create it on film using any stock and processing techniques that I wanted. This was meant to look like old home movie footage. It's shot on Kodak 7218, pulled 2 stops and has roughly a 50% silver retention. The idea was to make it grainy as hell and desaturated but to get the contrast back bypassing some of the bleach. The slower shots are shot around 60-96 FPS.
The first rider is Richard Gallant, followed by Devon Rohl. These trails were affectionately known as 'Chucky Bones' and lasted about 4 years on provincial land before being plowed by the city. Here are a couple of stories related to them:
