Skilltype (skilltype.com/) is a software platform designed to help libraries manage talent development and acquisition in a more data driven way. Currently in R&D, the platform enables organizations to develop intelligence around staff demographics, skills, interests, product experience, and how those map to the organization’s strategic directions. These insights are then used to help inform diversity efforts, recruitment, training and succession planning strategies.
Current institutions working with Skilltype include Gonzaga University Foley Library, University of Rhode Island Libraries, UNC Chapel Hill Libraries and Wayne State University Library System. In this webinar you will hear from members of the Skilltype team on the potential the platform has to enable libraries and their consortia to develop talent intelligence across member organizations to better facilitate shared professional development and shared skills acquisition.
The webinar will be led by Tony Zanders of Skilltype. He will be joined by Elaine Westbrooks, Vice Provost and University Librarian at University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
