Speaking to a non-tech audience I explained which are the motivations for the Open Data movement, which are the main problems to implement it in the public institutions in Spain, and which are the main principles that we should observe to build a great Open Data environment in the administration.
'Open Data: What, Why & How' was given on Nov 17, 2011 during a 2 day conference called 'Toma los datos' (tomalosdatos.alboan.org) organized by Alboan, a basque NGO focused on creating sustainable and equal conditions for all people. I spoke as founder and current president of Pro Bono Publico probp.org, the first Open Data promoting NGO in Spain.
In the same conference I gave another talk about Icelandic Constitutional reform process that you can view here: vimeo.com/aitorgarcia/reboot-iceland
