Pros-(H)er-Pere is a collaborative project in development by Sara Galassini and Yukio Tsuji. The interdisciplinary piece is inspired by the symbolism and themes of the Myth of Persephone and Demeter to rxplore the emergence of the feminine and the masculine in one being through the creation of a physical, visual and sonic vocabulary that juxtaposes the forms of Noh and Kyogen Theater with contemporary dance, ritual, ethnic instruments, synthesizer and guitar sounds, as well as song and chant created with deconstructed made up text, English and Italian language.
…...different states of the self creep forward, I allow them, I live them, they mold me in space and time, I listen, I obey them coming out of my inner self through my body. The female and male side, the light and the shadow decide in the moment what and how they need to express through me, I grow in space through them I move forward in the now toward the future with what is.
I am life and death, I am whole, I exist…..
