Did you know that some of the fungi in our soil make it healthier?
Mycorrhizal fungi are super small organisms that grow on plant roots and actually help plants to make use of water and organic nutrients in the soil. So, the more of them the better!
Just like anything else -- they have food (plant roots) that they prefer. Flax is a plant that can be used in cover crops (crops that keep the land covered but are not harvested for money).
In this #RegenerativeMinute, learn from #GroundedGrowth #farmer Justin Knopf about how planting flax as part of a cover crop makes the soil healthier.
