This is a stop motion animation that I created for my major project studies in my Fine Art (Honours) degree.
There are a myriad of possible interpretations of its meaning and that is what I had in mind when making it. It draws inspirations from the many floods and hurricanes happening around the world recently and the very literal ramifications of nature triumphing man, however it also embarks on an exploration of how historical events can become fictionalized and vice versa.
The internal logic of the film is created by it's very medium of animation and of chalk. The movements and drawings made by the chalk on blackboard are temporal and fleeting displaying a flowing but somewhat ambiguous narrative.
