The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has launched the Cultural Infrastructure Plan which highlights the importance of cultural spaces and places in London.
Studio Wayne McGregor has been recognised as one of the significant cultural organisations which provides space for artists to make and create in our studios at Here East on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Through FreeSpace we give choreographic artists access to our world-class studio spaces for free, in return for them gifting back their time to delivering free learning and engagement projects in schools and local communities.
FreeSpace artist Eleesha Drennan explains what our creative space as meant to her as a choreographer in London:
'As a dance artist you need a studio to make. It's like your instrument. It really has an impact on the quality of work that you make.'
