Chaminade College Preparatory celebrates our Founders Day Mass in honor of our founder. His name is Blessed William Joseph Chaminade and his charism is for all of us: “to be formed by Mary for the mission of Christ” so that we may go out and transform the world! With the help of two incredible women, Marie Therese De Lamourous, and Blessed Adele De Batz De Trenquelleon, together they assisted Blessed Chaminade to form small faith communities known as sodalities that included all classes of lay people, religious, and clergy. As a result, these three founders formed the “Society of Mary,” known today as the Marianists Brothers and Priests, and a congregation for women, Daughters of Mary Immaculate. Their work was modeled after Mary’s obedience by following in the footsteps of Mary-To Do Whatever He Tells You. This is the Marianist Motto and the theme for our Mass today. With this motto, we join forces with all of our Marianist schools in the United States and all over the world and continue this magnificent work at Chaminade College Preparatory, our Marianist school, made up of two campuses: Chatsworth and West Hills.
