In this video clip, Tim Tebow's pastor, Mac Brunson of First Baptist Church tells how the morning after Tim Tebow led his team to a come-from-behind victory on national TV against the New York Jets, Tim told him that he is suffering from the criticism.
According to Brunson, Tebow said "I don't have anybody that believes in me", to which Brunson replied, "Let me tell you a story about a man named Job."
I don't believe the story. This would have been the morning after one of the greatest achievements of Tebow's football career. On national TV he led his team to a victory against the New York Jets! No way is Tebow going to be poor-mouthing about criticism.
But if Tebow did, does he need his pastor blabbing about it on TV and the Internet? But it makes for a great story for Mac Brunson back home - that he consoled Tebow for all the criticism he has endured.
What WOULD we do without pastors to help our football heros deal with criticism?
