Connacht played host to Toulouse at their first home game in the Heineken Cup. From early on in the morning the buzz up in the Sportsground was palpable while the grounds keepers and TV crews began to put the finishing touches to what would become one of the biggest nights in Connacht Rugby's history.

Around 6pm crowds begun to gather along the "Green Mile" and make their way down the the Sportsground. Before the game a record crowd of 9120 people had descended onto the stands. The game begun with a bang as fireworks took to the sky when the players made their way onto the pitch.

Showing a lot of respect for the Connacht team, Toulouse had a very strong team on the pitch and they dominated most of the game however the event itself was a huge success with the amount of support that was seen up at the ground and showed that Connacht had how taken a big setup onto the world Rugby stage.
