The word “larp” (live-action role playing game) often conjures the image of dudes running around in the woods with rubber swords—and that is a thing. Marc will discuss how this idea is a small part of a larger international larping scene, which includes anything from small-scale theatrical experiences to spending the weekend in a Hogwarts-inspired castle to exploring highly sensitive topics like the romantic and sexual relationships in a friend group, the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, or the nature of humanity and consciousness itself.
