11/06/2011. The local group of dirt riders (we call ourselves "Dirt Clods") was riding my home track having a good time. I was riding my 2005 YZ250, putting in some good laps. As I caught up to one of the other riders, I misjudged how close I was to him. Fearing I would run into him when he singled the double, I, needlessly, after watching the video, tried to adjust my my speed and jump, and really botched it. However, one good thing. It did show just how tough the GoPro system is. Camera with case and mount all still work fine. There were no scratches on the lens. I had worried about crashing and damaging the GoPro, but no more. The damage to the bike cost almost as much as the entire GoPro system. :-( No need for more testing. If only I could crash more gracefully. The person to the right of the jump in the blue sweatshirt taking pictures is my wife, Linda. She had a great view of my crash. After she found out I was OK, she informed me that she was not happy with my riding. I wasn't real pleased myself.
