Ollie Charles: I’m Ollie Charles.
Elizabeth Lovatt: And I’m Elizabeth Lovatt.
Ollie Charles: And we were both part of the Futures in the Making collective, joining last year. I joined when I read about it through the Spread the Word page. They obviously promote lots of great opportunities. I wanted to learn more about my craft and have the chance to be able to write, but being around other LGBTQ people was really important to me because I’ve never had that experience before.
Elizabeth Lovatt: Yeah. I think we would both just really encourage any emerging LGBT writers to apply. If you think that you’re not good enough or you’re not queer enough, you definitely are. So just apply. You’ll find a really amazing environment in which you can just let your writing really grow. You’ll get some amazing experiences. We got to perform at Gay’s The Word, which was fun.
Ollie Charles: Which was amazing. It was such a good way to end last year. We got some really good workshops and some really interesting people. As you say, it was just a really good space to write.
Elizabeth Lovatt: Yeah, and to really find your community.
Ollie Charles: Yeah.
Elizabeth Lovatt: So yeah, apply!
